BAA NATIONAL PRESIDENT LAUDS BAA 2004

The BAA National President, Dr. Msugh Gbila has commendable members of the Bristow Alumni Association, Class of 2004 (BAA 2004) over their laudable initiatives during their 20th Anniversary Celebration at Bristow Secondary School, Gboko. The National President was speaking at the grand finale of the celebration on Saturday, 23rd November, 2024 which also featured commissioning of the modern toilet facilities donated to the school by the Set. He said, it is always encouraging to see BAA sets, branches and individuals return to give back to their alma mater thereby, fulfilling the words of Bristow’s second Principal, Late Miss Geraldine Vandenberg who admonished Bristow students to “always take as much as they can from Bristow so that tomorrow they can give back to it”

While commissioning the project, a former Principal of Bristow Secondary School and a member of BAA ’76, Mr. John Yandev Weor said, he felt elated, honoured and proud to be called upon by BAA 2004 at such a unique occasion to commission their project, adding that they are part of the sets he nurtured while serving at Bristow and was glad they have grown into men and women of timber and calibre to contribute to the growth of Bristow.

Also speaking, the Principal of Bristow Secondary School, Mr. Jen Adzor Jen who expressed joy, thanked BAA 2004 for their contribution to the school, noting that it is the contributions from BAA National Secretariat, sets, branches and individuals that have kept Bristow to its unique status.

Earlier in her welcome address, the Set Coordinator, BAA 2004, Mrs. Shimenenge Igue appreciated God whom she said, has seen them through good and trying moments up to twenty (20) years post Bristow. She noted the event was homecoming and a moment of reunion for their members who had not seen each other after leaving Bristow. According to her, the toilet facilities and sanitary pads (for personal hygiene) donated to the girls were their modest way of giving back to their alma mater which had given them much.

Other highlights of the celebration were volleyball match between BAA 2004 and the students, as well as dinner with students. The Set rounded up their celebration with a thanksgiving at NKST Bristow on Sunday, 24th November, 2024.

Let’s Go Bristow!
